Answer:
Well, I’ve been getting ready for BMT, so it’s better then it was a few months ago, though I’m still a little embarrassed at how out of shape I am.
I don’t know what my 5k run time is currently, but my mile time is about 9:30. I don’t think I can do that for three miles straight though.
I can do about 50 situps consecutively at the moment, a minute and a half long plank, can’t do any pullups, can only do about five pushups low enough to count (by military standards).
I don’t have access to a real gym so I don’t know what my squat ability is currently. I can bench 50 pounds. I’m not sure if I do deadlifts correctly so I’m holding off on them until I’m sure I won’t hurt myself, but I did 70 pounds no problem last time I tried.
I should have added ‘survive basic training’ to my fitness goals. Of course, my short term goal is just to pass the pt test->
Women: Physical Training Targets
1.5 Mile Run Push-Ups Sit-Ups Abdominal Circumference
14:26 18 38 31.5”
I can do it all minus the pushups, and I think I am still a little too round.
These are my fitness goals I’m going to start working on after BMT, with the hope that I’ll never stop trying to better myself, and to hold myself accountable.
I would like to accomplish these or make a good start on them by the end of 2013.
